Colombo, 1997) Kumarasinghe, M.P.; Fernando, K.L.A 35 year old female who hadepigastric pain and iron deficiency anaemia for several months was diagnosed to have a Brunner's gland adenoma. Upper gastro-intestinal endoscopy (UGIE) performed twice and barium meal follow through failed t reveal any abnormality initially. The third UGIE showed a polyp in the junction between the 1st and 2nd parts of the duodenum. Histology of the polyp showed features of a Brunner's adenoma.Item Sclerosing stromal tumour of the ovary. a case report(Faculty of Medicine. The clinical presentation, diagnostic pathological features, biological behavour and differential diagnosis of this rare tumour are discussed.Item Peripheral neuroectodermal tumour. a clinicopathological and immunohistochemical study of seven cases in Sri Lanka(Faculty of Medicine. Colombo, 1996) Ratnatunga, N.A clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features of 7 cases of peripheral neuroectodermal tumour were documented. Children and adults were affected. The tumours were found in both bone and soft tissue. All tumours were positive for PGP 9.5 neurofilament and O-13, in addition. Cytoplasmic glycogen was variable. Some tumours showed good neural differentiation. Colombo, 1992) Thevanesan, V.; Fernando, A.T.P.G.; Gamage, T.M.A comparison between the standard agglutination test (SAT) by the conventional tube test and a slide agglutination method was carried out in 11 patients with a clinical and serological diagnosis of typhoid and 54 patients with nontyphoidal illnesses. 55perc. of patients in the first group had a negative O titre using the slide agglutination tets. There was a 73perc. discrepancy between the 2 tests in the O titre in the first group and 56perc. and 50perc. discrepancy in the 2nd and 3rd groups respectively. The H antibody titre gave more comparable results in the 2 tests.
